For this, we interviewed Kamal Kishore, Member, NDMA, GOI. He said that our country can become disaster resilient only when the local communities will be able to respond and recover from disasters at their own level.

For this, we interviewed Biraj Patnaik, Regional Director, Amnesty International and Former Principal Advisor, Supreme Court Commissioners on the right to food in India. He said that food security act plays a very important role against malnutrition as it has helped contain hunger to a large extent but there is a pressing need diversify the basket of foodgrains distributed through this which at present is largely limited to wheat and rice, and hence is not sufficient to contain malnutrition.
