This episode of Ek Duniya Ek Awaaz provides an overview about Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how India is gearing up to achieve goals that aim to create a more equitable and just society.
On September 25th, 2015, member states of the United Nations adopted a set of 17 goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years.
For this, we interviewed, Dr Rajiv Kumar, Vice Chairmen, Niti Ayog. He said that government should increase investment in education, health, sanitation and road infrastructure to improve the chances of achieving SDGs.
