<p>Antarvani Community Radio Station strives for creating equal opportunities for different communities of society to participate in the programme. All students are involved in making educational programmes for our station.</p> <p>Spoken English programme and English grammar teaching are being broadcastfor thebenefit of student. Communication skills and personality development programmes also have beenbroadcast. Awareness programmes on issues like protection of environment, are also taken by our radio station.</p> <p>Students of the community benefit from the socio-educational and cultural programmes. Women&rsquo;s awareness programmes are also made by the local women folk.</p>

Programme Schedule

A wide variety of programmes like social, religious, cultural, agricultural, health and hygiene are broadcast daily. The aim is to educate and enrich the masses of this region educationally, culturally and spiritually and it covers over 20 km area and there are 15,000 direct beneficiaries.

Sangeetvani

• Desciption: Music Programmes, like Vachanas, Hindustani Music, Folk music, Classical, Bhavagite, Devotional songs and Mahadasoha sutras of Lord Shree Sharanabasaveshwar. It highlights moral values, mutual understanding, cooperation, love and affection in the society.

Mahilavani

• Format: Spoken words
  
• Desciption: It highlights issues like women’s emancipation, health and hygiene, cooking, beauty tips, arts and craft, interior decoration of the houses, etc

Negilayogi

• Format: Spoken words
  
• Desciption: Programme is absolutely related to the farmers, and the focus is on agricultural development, use of new technology, seeds, chemical pesticides, etc.by inviting various resource personalities in the farming field.

Arogyavani

• Format: Spoken words
  
• Desciption: It brings specialists like Dr Anand Shankar, nephrologist to talk on kidney related problems and solutions and Child specialist Dr Vanishree Patil.

Visheshvyakti

• Format: Spoken words
  
• Desciption: Eminent personalities, like probationary officer of Gulbarga Ms Pallavi Akruti, Hyderabad, Karnataka Development Board Secretary Ms Shalini Rajnish and Social worker Shanti Desai, etc are invited to share their experiences with the listeners.

<p>Signature Programmes: Gramavani, Arogyavani, JanapadvaniMahilavani, Sangeetavani. Community Participation: Antarvani Community Radio Station has created many participatory content programmes. For example, the students and the teachers of GodutaiBEd and DEd colleges have produced a programme in which they themselves have done the anchoring with their self created themes. Through our programmes many issues including the Dowry system, importance of women's education, environmental protection have been discussed. Innovations in Format: Antarvani 90.8 had developed many useful and fruitful programmes to serve the community. The Radio Station also involves the rural folk to record and preserve the local talent and traditions.Evenrural people are being invited here to the studio to record their programmes of different types.</p>

<p>Funding and Partnerships: All funding and essential financial assistance has been provided by Sharanabasaveshwara VidyaVardhakaSangha to create infrastructural development and also to procure technical items.</p>

<p>Our interaction with the community members while developing radio programmes are a regular learning exercise.</p>
