Drishti in partnership with UNICEF, intends to conduct a Needs Assessment Study (NAS) among Community Radio Stations (operational and GOPA Holders), which are run by Non-Governmental Organisations. 15 CRS will be selected based on the information provided here, for the purpose of the study. The Study will involve a 2 day visit by Drishti staff and other requisite online communication. We hope that the CRS will be able to provide all necessary information during the study visit. The CRS will not be paid any remuneration neither would they be expected to bear any expenses for the team.

A large number of men and women hailing from rural areas lack major information on development issues and their voices are not heard. Communicating them is a challenging task. This publication shares the experience of Community Listeners’ Club in DRC and Nigeria that paved the way to communicate people. Community Listeners’ Clubs have mobilized large number of people in a short time and it is also generating awareness on various issues like health, agriculture, farming practices, development, scientific innovations and many more.
